Physical Appearance:

Draco is of a relatively tall height. He's not tall enough to really tower over anyone (but the shortest), and he's still tall enough so that he rarely has to crane his neck to meet a person eye-to-eye. He has slanted gray eyes, and a delicate bone structure - fine chin, fine neck, high cheekbones, thin wrists, the works. His skin is the translucent kind of pale found only on people who have rarely tanned (as opposed to those who were tan and then holed themselves up forever to regain a pale complexion). His movements change with his demeanor. When he's nervous, they become jerky; when he's proud, he swaggers; when he's concentrated and focused, they become almost catlike.

Character Personality

Draco's been rather hard-hit by Book 6's events. The arrogance he used to have has, as seen during the book, more or less dissipated, and he's realized that now, things can go wrong, and there is nothing between him, his mother, and death but his own actions. He's become a more realistic - almost cynical; mistakes and miscalculations could lead to death. However, he is still prone to panicking when things don't go his way, and when he panics, he tends to make mistakes.

The war, for him, isn't about ideology anymore. It's about survival. It's about getting himself and his parents through the ordeal alive. He recognizes the responsibility, and has tried to grow up so that he could bear it; now, he always tries to act the man. He tries to be the perfect son, the one who shoulders his new obligations without complaint and without bending. A son to make his mother proud. As such, he never lets his mother see his fear or insecurity anymore. Now, he believes, he is the one who has to protect her.

However, he is only 17, and he isn't quite old enough to handle what has been dealt to him. Sometimes he cracks a bit under the burden; his fuse becomes incredibly short, and he becomes moody - the house elves tend to suffer when he feels stressed.

Personal History

Draco was only 10 months old when the Dark Lord was vanquished, and as such has no memories of life beforehand. He grew up with a variety of tutors, none of whom he particularly cared for, loved or respected beyond the realm of the tutor's subject. He studied hard to win his parents' favor, and it is from here that his constant desire to impress his parents began. He has always had the desire to make his parents proud - to be the ideal son, their living image. This is one of Draco's main driving traits.

He had been raised assuming that he would get everything, that everything would fall in his waiting lap and he only had to play his cards right to secure himself a socially high-ranking and influential position. His parents had brought him up like this so that he'd never do anything stupid, ridiculous or unnecessary for items, friends, wealth or power. After all, why do that when he would eventually receive everything tenfold later on? However, his parents - nor Draco - foresaw that, not only were the cards dealt to Draco bad, but the entire poker table was then turned on its head.
